Learn to Row
This 4-week class focuses on learning the basic elements of single sculling and sweep rowing, including boat handling, technique, and safety. This class introduces adults to the dynamic sport of rowing. A lifelong sport, rowing can be a key component to a healthy lifestyle. RRC offers rowing and sculling classes for competition or recreation. No experience necessary. No membership required.
SATURDAY IN SINGLES
This class focuses on rowing for fitness or entry-level racing in a single scull. Ability to confidently row an intermediate single (Maas Aero, Bay 21) or Club 1x required and coach evaluation is required. Each class focuses on rowing longer distances with proper technique to build skills and endurance. Practices are moderately intense workouts and will include long rows and interval training. Renton Rowing Center membership required.
The Adult Team is a competitive group of men and women, from their early-20s to their 70s. The team focuses on enjoying the sport, local competition, and improving fitness while deepening mastery of both sculling and sweeping disciplines. Completion of Novice Adult Team, or approval from the RRC Program Director is required. RRC membership is required.
