High School Rowing

The RRC High School Rowing Team practices on the water in sweep and sculling boats and doing cardiovascular, strength and flexibility conditioning on land. (8th graders may be selected based on performance). Competitions on Saturdays and Sundays. Practices are Monday-Friday from 4:00-6:15pm. New rowers are always welcome!

Rowing is a year round sport, we have Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer seasons. Rowing is a great sport to do year round, or an awesome way to stay in shape in-between seasonal sports.

The Pocock Foundation provides need-based youth rowing scholarships at multiple boathouses throughout Seattle and Renton. Click on the button below to apply.

Scholarship funds are awarded based on financial need AND the participant’s ability to meet attendance and participation expectations. If awarded a scholarship, athletes must:

Attend 75% of practices

Volunteer 5 hours per season

Attend one community event per year

Partial and full scholarships are available. The information you provide will be treated confidentially, and will be used only for eligibility determination.
