Renton's COVID-19 Response
Our boathouse is slowly opening! Safety is the number one priority at Renton and we have implemented new cleaning procedures and social distancing measures to ensure are opening is smooth and safe! Below is more information on how to get involved!
We are working with our partners to determine our summer program schedule!
What is our plan
Youth Programs: This week are junior members are getting used to our new cleaning and social distancing protocols while getting comfortable in singles. This trial week is on a sign-up basis (8:00am -10:00am M-F and 4:00pm -6:00pm M-TH). Next week junior athletes will be assigned to one of the time slots for the summer season (7:00am-8:30am, 8:30am-10:00am, or 10:00am-11:30am) starting June 29th.

Youth and Adult programs: Our masters classes are on a sign-up basis and occur in singles. If you are adult interested in learning to row check out the Learn to Row dates below!
Learn to Row: We will be offering classes this summer starting in July and can transfer anyone whose class was cancelled this last spring! Registration will be open by the end of this week!

Rentals will be open for the summer starting Friday, June 26th! We are open from 1:00pm - 8:00pm M-F and 11:00am - 8:00pm weekends. We are only accepting reservations in order to minimize contact and ensure all rentals are thoroughly disinfected between customers.
The health and safety of our staff and community are most important, and if health officials advise us to change our operations we will update the website asap!

When: Cedar River Park Opens
Allows private boat owners and adult members to take out club singles at designated times. Assignments will be made to borrowed equipment to ensure tracing and thorough cleaning after each use. Cleaning standards will be held equally to US Rowing, City of Renton, and other health officials guidelines. Masks will be worn at all times in the facility until out on the water
When: County is approved to move into phase 2.
Allows coached classes of 8 juniors or adults to row in singles. To help get more people on the water we will be doing simultaneous classes, one class of 8 launching and rowing on the river, and one class of 8 rowing out of the boathouse. Assignments to boats and oars will be made to ensure tracing and thorough cleaning. There will be 30 minutes between each session to ensure all equipment, facility, and dock are cleaned. Cleaning standards will be held equally to US Rowing, City of Renton, and other health officials guidelines. Masks will be worn at all times in the facility until out on the water.
