U19, U17, U15: This 7 week season is open to new and experienced rowers who would like a way to be out on the water and stay in shape this summer. This camp is designed for 14-19 year olds that would like to participate in the summer season of rowing at Renton rowing center. It will include improving rowing technique, conditioning, strength training, going to 3 regattas (races) and having some fun on paddle boards and kayaks as well. More details below.

Row, Paddle, Play
This 4 day camp is for 11-16 year old individuals who want to try a new sport, or rowed with RRC during the school year and want to keep being active on the water during the summer. Participants will have opportunities to sweep row, scull, cox, kayak, and stand up paddle board during the course of camp. **Participants must bring packed lunch daily** Mid-Morning snacks will be provided. Summer Season is a great time for new rowers to learn the sport and join the team. The season will be run like a typical practice, with the addition of some fun and games because it being summer. Participates will be racing in 3 regattas during the summer, those races will be Cedar River Sprints, Duwamish Regatta, and Greenlake Summer Extravaganza.
Row, Paddle, Play
Row, Paddle, Play camp is unlike any other summer camp for the majority of the time is all about having fun on the water. Campers will learn the basics of the sport of rowing, kayak , paddle board, and play some games on and off the water. A typical daily schedule, will start with learning the rowing stroke and spend time in the rowing shells, mid-morning snacks, games in the park or rowing machine, lunch break, then back out on the water with paddle boards and kayaks.

Scholarship funds are awarded based on financial need AND the participant’s ability to meet attendance and participation expectations. If awarded a scholarship, athletes must:
Attend 75% of practices
Volunteer 5 hours per season
Attend one community event per year
Partial and full scholarships are available. The information you provide will be treated confidentially, and will be used only for eligibility determination.
