2025 Fall Season

Get on the water with us this Fall! We have sessions available for youth of all experience levels, grades 6th and up.

Our programs incorporate a mix of on-water rowing, weight training, erging, cross training, team building, and more. Middle School programs will be fun-focused, emphasizing the basics of the stroke, teamwork, and communication. Our High School programs will be gradually geared more towards skill development and physical fitness, depending on experience. There is need-based financial aid available through the GPRF, which you can apply for via our website or the GPRF website. GPRF scholarships are available in partial and full increments, and apply to the awardee’s seasonal rowing dues, as well as any competition fees or uniform costs.

What are we doing in response to COVID-19?

Proof of vaccination is no longer required to participate at any level of our programs. We encourage all participants to receive the CDC recommended vaccinations and boosters if they are comfortable doing so. Masks are optional but encouraged. Please visit our COVID Policies page for full information.

New to Rowing?

We aim to include any youth in the community interested in rowing. All youth athletes are welcome in our programs, regardless of fitness or experience. New rowers can sign up for our seasonal programs, or contact the Executive Director for additional details.

Competition?

We will offer local and regional competition opportunities for our athletes as they become available. Competition is open to High School athletes of all skill levels who attend at least 80% of scheduled practices. Participation in competition is optional and will be available during the Fall and Spring seasons.

Need support to row?

The George Pocock Rowing Foundation provides need-based youth rowing scholarships at multiple boathouses throughout the Northwest. Scholarship funds are awarded based on financial need and the participant’s ability to meet attendance and participation expectations.

If awarded a scholarship, athletes must attend 75% of scheduled practices.

Partial and full financial aid packages are available, and funds may be used to cover the cost of registration and regatta fees, swimming instruction, team uniform, and transportation.

Youth of color and those facing socio-economic barriers are encouraged to apply.
