Renton Rowing Center is a place for all young people to find acceptance and a supportive community! We believe that all young athletes deserve to have the opportunity to row. We offer programs for High School and Middle School athletes of all experience levels.

Summer Camp Registration is now open!

Registration for Summer Camps are open now! We have one and two-week camps available for experienced Middle School athletes, experienced High School athletes, and Novice rowers of all ages. Please see our registration page for dates and details.

Athletes must be formally registered in order to secure their spot in the camp(s). Any athletes attempting to register after spots have been filled will be added to our waitlist upon request. Proof of vaccination is required in order to row in team boats. Single sculls or 'Double Bubbles' are available for unvaccinated athletes.

What are we doing in response to COVID-19?

Team boats are now available for vaccinated individuals with proof of vaccination. Masks are optional but encouraged. Please visit our COVID Policies page for full information.

New to Rowing?

We aim to include any youth in the community interested in rowing. All youth athletes are welcome in our programs, regardless of fitness or experience. New rowers can sign up for our seasonal programs, or contact the Program Director for additional details.

We will offer local and regional competition opportunities for our athletes as they become available. Competition is open to High School athletes of all skill levels. Select competitions will be available to Middle School athletes based on events offered. Participation in competition is optional and will be available during the Fall and Spring seasons.

Need support to row?

The George Pocock Rowing Foundation provides need-based youth rowing scholarships at multiple boathouses throughout Seattle and Renton. Scholarship funds are awarded based on financial need and the participant’s ability to meet attendance and participation expectations. If awarded a scholarship, athletes must:

  • Attend 75% of practices

  • Volunteer 5 hours per season

  • Attend one community event per year

Partial and full scholarships are available. The information you provide will be treated confidentially, and will be used only for eligibility determination.

Funding is limited and awarded on a case by case basis.
