2026 Summer Racing Schedule
Summer racing is characterized by regattas called “sprint races,” which are shorter in length and
demand more anaerobic fitness. Sprint races are typically between 1,000 or 2,000 meters
in length, or roughly .65 - 1.3 miles long. Sprint race courses often contain multiple lanes where athletes can race side by side and can take anywhere between 5 - 8 minutes to complete,
based on the length of the race and speed of the crew.
